It doesn't happen often, but it happened Thursday night -- Alfredo Aceves and Daniel Bard couldn't hold a Red Sox lead.

The Red Sox blow a 2-1, seventh-inning lead, then leave the bases loaded with two outs in the bottom of the ninth as they fall to the Yankees.

The Red Sox had a 2-1 lead, blew it, then loaded the bases in the 9th inning, down 4-2. Adrian Gonzalez struck out looking, and the Yanks take the final game of the series.

Many feel as though newly acquired outfielder Conor Jackson hasn't lived up to expectations. That may be because of he contracted a viral infection known as Valley Fever back in 2008. He says he's back to normal now.

J.D. Drew was back in Boston, but not activated like originally hoped. Instead he'll rest his sprained finger and aim towards a return next week.
