Down three runs at one point, the Red Sox roared back and took a 6-5 lead into the 8th inning. The Twins then tied it, but the Sox kept hitting and took an 8-6 lead in the 9th. That would be the final score.

Tim Wakefield pitched good enough for the win, but Alfredo Aceves blew it. Also, notes on the Red Sox' late arrival to Minnesota, possibly bringing on a reliever, Josh Beckett, and Bobby Jenks.
