Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy joined Lou Merloni on "Uno Sports Tonight" on Friday to play a little game of "Viewer Mail."

The first letter comes from Mike N. of the Red Sox, who asks if fans should be more concerned with him at first base or with the Red Sox DH going into the season.

For Shaughnessy, the bigger concern is David Ortiz at DH.

"That's a bad injury for a guy his age, with his skill set, with what he does in your lineup," Shaughnessy said. "I'm not sold on this one. David doesn't have enough help around him."

Another letter writer, "Sea Bass" a.k.a. Cam Neely, points out how Bruins legend Ray Bourque's son, Chris, is struggling on the Bruins' third line.

"Everybody loves Ray Bourque," Shaughnessy said. "I think we're all a little squeamish about piling on [Chris], because of the Dad."

Finally, a "Mr. Bundchen" writes about the firestorm over his renegotiated contract as Patriots quarterback.

"I thought the criticism was a little over the top," Shaughnessy said. "I don't see Tom as the bad guy here. Ever."
