The Boston Red Sox have lost five of their last eight games but still sit in first place of the American League East.
Tampa Bay is right on Boston's heels, though. The Rays have won two of the first three games of the series against the Red Sox and sit just half a game back heading into Thursday night's game. While the Sox realize they have a lot of baseball to play and aren't getting caught up in their recent struggles, they know the rest of the division will be gunning for them down the stretch.
"You've got that target on your back," Victorino said. "People want to take us down."
In the final two months of the season, the Red Sox will play their fair share of division games. They know the challenge that lies ahead and it could define their 2013 season.
