Shane Victorino has had a rough go of things since being put on the DL by the Red Sox on May 25 with a hamstring injury.

His rehab was halted roughly a month later with back soreness, and it's been a slow process since.

But Victorino started back up in the minors on Thursday, and played in Sunday's Futures at Fenway Game with the Spinners at Fenway Park.

Victorino led off and went 0-for-2 with a walk. In 1st and 3rd innings he flew out to left field and center field, respectively.

In the 5th, he drew the walk, advancing from 1st base to 3rd base on a single up the middle in the next at-bat.

He was pulled for a pinch runner while on third base.

Earlier in the 5th with Victorino in the field, he gunned down a runner at the plate for the inning's final out.

Prior to the Red Sox' 11-0 win in Houston on Sunday, manager John Farrell said Victorino could re-join the Red Sox on Friday, but warned, "I've said a lot of things."
