BOSTON -- David Ortiz is still not back in the Red Sox lineup on Friday night against the Minnesota Twins, but he did once again take batting practice with the rest of the team.
Manager Bobby Valentine said he's "pretty close."
"He says he feels better, progressing normally toward a complete recovery," said Valentine before Friday's game.
"I try not to put deadlines on things," added Valentine. "He's pretty close though."
