Talking Points: Red Sox 1, Rays 0

STAR OF THE GAME: Wade Miley

Miley seemed to run out of gas in the sixth inning, walking the final two hitters he faced to load the bases. But he allowed just three hits -- only two of which left the infield -- and didn't allow a run, a big improvement over his last outing.

HONORABLE MENTION: Brock Holt

Holt was put in the lineup to give the Sox another lefty against Chris Archer and was hitless in four plate appearances. But filling in at short, he made two ridiculous plays in the field, both saving hits.

GOAT OF THE GAME: Desmond Jennings

Jennings was 0-for-4 and stranded five baserunners along the way, including three in the sixth when he produced a broken-bat groundout.

TURNING POINT: Reliever Alexi Ogando took over for Wade Miley with two outs and in the bases loaded, facing Desmond Jennings. Ogando drilled a 96 mph fastball in on Jennings' hands, got a weak broken-bat grounder to short and an inning-ending force out.

BY THE NUMBERS: The Red Sox are 10-for-10 in stolen base attempts this season.
