BOSTON - The Sox made a roster move on Sunday, recalling Steven Wright, who will pitch out of the bullpen, and designating outfielder Corey Brown for assignment.

This is Wright's second stint with the Red Sox, although he didn't make an appearance his first time around as he was up for just one game.

Wright is 5-3 with a 2.76 ERA for the PawSox this season in 13 games, all starts.

Wright is a knuckleballer. He made his Major League debut last season with the Red Sox, going 2-0 with a 5.40 ERA, nine walks, and 10 strikeouts in four games, one of which was a start.

The move to bring up Wright is due to the stress on the team's bullpen as of late.

Farrell isn't concerned about the transition to the bullpen for Wright.

"We've leaned on some guys in that bullpen fairly regularly," Farrell said. "And when we have some starts that go short, we need that length. The time that he was here last year in the relief appearances that he made for us. Ideally we'd like to start an inning with him rather than bring him in in a situation with men on. But we don't have to plan let's say an inning ahead of time because he's been a starter. He gets loose relatively quick."
