Michael Silverman, from the Boston Herald, dissects Joel Hanrahan's implosion in the ninth inning Wednesday night.

"It was terrible. He was kinda the first to admit it," said Silverman. "You don't want your closer, when he blows a save to cry on you. Then again, you don't want your closer to blow a save at all.

"But it's gonna happen. It was a really really ugly blown save," said the Red Sox beat writer for the Herald. "It was a really bad loss for the Red Sox tonight, kinda ruined some of the season-opening mojo."
