Should Bradley Jr. be on the Red Sox opening day roster? Sean McAdam likes the idea for now.

"To me, he is the best option they have right now." said Sean McAdam, "They are going to be without Ortiz and Drew so the dreaded 'run prevention' comes into this.  If nothing else, he is easily the best left field defensive option they have."

When it comes to Bradley's service time, McAdam believes the Red Sox will make a move once some players get healthy.

"He plays left field until David Ortiz is ready to come off the disabled list and be the everyday DH again.  Then you go to Jackie Bradley Jr. and say 'look, we said one of the prerequisites was having an everyday spot for you.  We no longer have that because we want Gomes' bat in the lineup. We're going to send you down to Pawtucket.'"

But what if he is playing really well?

"If he's hitting .380, then you don't have a problem."
