Shaughnessy: Buchholz's start ‘borderline disgraceful'

First start of the season, Clay Buchholz was absolutely dominant against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Second start, not so much. Buchholz was shellacked in the first inning to a tune of seven runs and the New York Yankees never looked back.

Dan Shaughnessy was not pleased with his performance and behavior on the mound on Sunday night.

"That was borderline disgraceful [Sunday] night," said Shaughnessy of Clay Buchholz's start against the Yankees. "All the stuff people hate about Clay Buchholz was on display [Sunday] night… To have that stinker [Sunday] night and not be backing up bases. Just brain cramps and whatever is going on with him, it's unacceptable. Eight years in the big leagues, unacceptable."
