Reports came out on Friday that Alex Rodriguez leaked the names of Ryan Braun and teammate Francisco Cervelli for PED use as part of the Biogenesis scandal.
Rodriguez met with the media at Fenway Park before Friday's Red Sox-Yankees game, and immediately denied the reports.
"It's not true," he said. "I spoke to Cervelli this morning, had a positive conversation. He understands that it's not true and we're on the same page."
Rodriguez also said he intends to have a conversation with Red Sox players, including Dustin Pedroia, Jonny Gomes and David Ortiz, about the situation.
But with yet another negative rumor about A-Rod coming out, could things possibly get worse for the Yankees slugger?
Sean McAdam thinks it could always get worse.
"It's Alex Rodriguez, it can always get worse," McAdam said. "In fact, it's even money that it could get worse by game time at the rate we're going. Look, we've seen that he is a magnet for controversy, he does not give in, he's not giving in on this suspension that is pending for 211 games and I don't expect that he's gonna give in any time soon and the nature of Alex Rodriguez's career is that there's always something around the corner. He himself said, 'Expect more of this for the next seven weeks.'"
