The Red Sox have fired their strength and conditioning coach, Dave Page, and assistant trainer Greg Barajas, according to WEEI.com's Rob Bradford.
Bradford reports that source said "the Red Sox plan on restructuring some of their approach toward the strength, conditioning and medical side of the organization".
Page was the team's strength and conditioning coach for six years, after having served the Arizona Diamondbacks in that capacity for six seasons. He was named Major League Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year in 2007.
Barajas spent two years as the Sox' assistant athletic trainer. Prior to his arrival in Boston, he had the Pawtucket Red Sox' head trainer for five years (2005-09), and also had worked in the Milwaukee Brewers' system.
