Report: Red Sox inquire about Soria

Share

It appears the Red Sox are still looking for their closer. According to Rob Bradford of WEEI.com, the Red Sox have inquired about Royals closer Joakim Soria. His sources say Kansas City is requesting players that the team is not willing to part with.

Soria became expendable when the team signed closer Johnathan Broxton.

In his five-year career Soria has racked up 160 saves and a 2.40 ERA with 341 strikeouts in 315.1 innings pitched for the Royals.
