Report: Ortiz return to lineup likely to be delayed

According to ESPN, Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz is unlikely to return from the disabled list on Wednesday, the first day that he is eligible to play.

Ortiz felt pain in his heel on Saturday and cancelled planned exercises in Yankee Stadium on Sunday. He has postponed partaking in any baseball activities until Tuesday. With this setback it is expected that Ortiz will not return until the weekend at the earliest.

From ESPN:
Ortiz told ESPNdeportesLosAngeles.com that he could neither jog nor bat in New York before the last game of the series between the Red Sox and Yankees, but he keeps receiving therapy on his right heel.

The Red Sox have missed Ortiz's presence in the lineup as he was the team's best offensive player prior to his injury. This setback is just another hurdle the Red Sox will have to clear if they want to take part in postseason play this year.

Report: Celtics secure meeting with Dwight Howard

In February, the Boston Celtics were involved in trade deadline talks with the Houston Rockets involving center Dwight Howard.

It appears the team still has interest in the free-agent big man.

According to ESPN, the Celtics have secured a meeting with Howard after July 1.

Howard, 30, became a free agent after declining a player option that would have paid him more the $23 million in 2016-17
