BOSTON -- The Red Sox -- short of outfielders once again because of the undisclosed injury to Jacoby Ellsbury -- announced before Sunday's game that they have recalled Che-Hsuan Lin.
Lin had been sent to Fort Myers at the end of the Pawtucket Red Sox' season to stay in shape in case he was needed in Boston.
