The PawSox are sending two players to the Triple-A All-Star Game.

Right-handed starter Anthony Ranaudo and catcher Christian Vazquez have both been selected to the International League All-Star Team.

Ranaudo, 24, is 9-4 with a 2.35 ERA in 17 starts for the PawSox this season.  He is tied for 2nd in the International League in Wins, 5th in ERA, and tied for 6th in Strikeouts (81).  He also has the Lowest Batting Average Against of any IL starter at .202 (69 hits in 341 at-bats).

Vazquez, 23, is batting .275 with 16 2B, 3 HR & 19 RBI in 62 games.  He is coming off a month of June hitting .299 in 22 games with all 3 of his homers.  Vazquez has been voted as the top defensive catcher in the Red Sox system each of the last three seasons by Baseball America.  He is 3rd among International League catchers throwing out 18 of 46 would-be base stealers this season (39%).  

The All-Star Game will be played on Wednesday, July 16 at 7:05 pm at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina.
