BOSTON - One day after Yoenis Cespedes left a game with a shin injury, Dustin Pedroia left Friday's game with a foot injury.

Pedroia fouled a ball off his back foot in the third inning and eventually left the game in the eighth inning.

But just as Cespedes would be fine the next day, so would Pedroia. When Saturday's lineup was released, Pedroia was on it batting second per usual.

"He's still a little sore but not to the point of keeping him out of the lineup," John Farrell said. "He did a lot of king of it even after he left the ballpark here last night. He was able to reduce and limit the swelling that was in there. The fluoroscan was negative that was taken right after the game last night, so everything- strength test or any kind of situation to reproduce some of the symptoms, so he's cleared to play."

Pedroia has been on a bit of a tear for the Sox lately. The second baseman went 3-for-5 Thursday night vs. the Astros, and has recorded a hit in 12 of his last 15 games with multiple hits in nine of them.

Here's the rest of the lineup:
Holt 3B
Pedroia 2B
Ortiz DH
Cespedes LF
Napoli 1B
Nava RF
Bogaerts SS
Bradley Jr. CF
Vazquez C

De La Rosa RHP
