We thought we were done with Bobby Valentine…

On the first Baseball Show of the season, Bobby Valentine was called a clown.  Bob Neumeier didn't like it.

"What offends me is this notion that Bobby Valentine is a clown, that Bobby Valentine was the reason why they won sixty-nine games." argued Neumeier, "How about the fact that the Boston Red Sox had more injuries than any other team in the last forty years."

The Red Sox did have 27 different players on the disabled list last year…

"I'm offended that it was all Bobby Valentine's fault and that John Farrell is this guy that's going to come in and clean up all the mess."

Lou Merloni, Sean McAdam and Dan Shaughnessy didn't exactly agree with Neumeier.

"The guy was a clown!  He was not a big league manager, the game passed him by." replied Merloni, "He can't deal with people and personalities. He divided the whole clubhouse!"
