Morales ‘feels real good' after tests

DUNEDIN, Fla. -- Reliever Franklin Morales has returned from Boston after going there for some unspecified tests.

"He feels real good about the result of the exam he had,'' said manager Bobby Valentine. "He's probably a couple of days from resuming his throwing.''

The Sox detected some weakness in Morales's left shoulder last month when they did some base-line testing, but Valentine emphasized that the current issue has nothing to do with his shoulder.

A team source said that "something minor'' came up with Morales during physicals last month and he wanted it checked out further as a precaution.
