With the latest updates regarding the Biogenesis scandal, many players have said they want to make sure the sport of baseball is 100 percent clean and rid of the people who may dirty America's pastime. Red Sox outfielder Jonny Gomes is one of those players.
"We wanted people off it, we want a clean game, and I'm just glad the league is doing the research and making it happen," Gomes said.
Gomes added that the people who tainted the game need to be held responsible for their actions.
"There are some creeps out there trying to stay a couple of steps ahead," Gomes said. "… It's not really tough to feel sorry for those guys. They made their own bed and they have to lay in it."
Gomes has been in the majors since 2003 and has not been linked to any kind of performance-enhancing substances.
"It's really not that hard to stay clean in this game," Gomes said.
