FORT MYERS, Fla. – Entering Tuesday’s game against the Orioles, Jackie Bradley Jr., led the Red Sox in defensive innings played with 99 total innings – 87 in center field, 12 in right.

He has yet to play in left field, which would seem to be a requirement if he were to make the team out of spring training. In two minor league seasons, Bradley, the Sox first-round (40th overall) pick out of the University of South Carolina, has not played left field. He has appeared in 123 games in center, one in right.

But, manager John Farrell said Tuesday morning he has no plans to play Bradley in left field.

“No, if he’s not in center, he’ll probably be in right,” Farrell said.
