BOSTON – Before Thursday afternoon’s workout at Fenway Park, Red Sox manager John Farrell said he does not anticipate any changes to the team’s 25-man roster for the American League Championship Series from what it was the ALDS.
“There was a review,” Farrell said. “Even when you get into a seven-game series versus a five-game, you get one additional day off. So there was a review but nothing glaring, no injury issues that would have prompted an adjustment. So we stay as we’ve been.”
The roster would include:
Pitchers (11): Craig Breslow, Clay Buchholz, Ryan Dempster, Felix Doubront, John Lackey, Jon Lester, Franklin Morales, Jake Peavy, Junichi Tazawa, Koji Uehara, and Brandon Workman.
Catchers (2): David Ross and Jarrod Saltalamacchia.
Infielders (5): Xander Bogaerts, Stephen Drew, Will Middlebrooks, Mike Napoli, and Dustin Pedroia.
Outfielders (6): Quintin Berry, Mike Carp, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jonny Gomes, Daniel Nava, Shane Victorino.
Designated Hitter: David Ortiz.
