BOSTON -- The Red Sox don't have much to play for, but Tuesday night, they succeeded in spoiling things for the New York Yankees.

Jacoby Ellsbury's single to right, his fourth hit of the night, scored Pedro Ciriaco from second and gave the Sox a 4-3 walkoff win with one out in the ninth.

It was the third walkoff win for the Sox this season and just the second win in seven games at Fenway against this Yankees this season.

A line drive homer by Dustin Pedroia which just cleared The Wall and landed in the first row of the Monster Seats with one out in the sixth had tied the game at 3-3. It was Pedroia's fifth homer in his last nine games at Fenway.

Derek Jeter dropped a bloop double down the right field line in the sixth, scoring Andruw Jones and Jayson Nix and chasing starter Jon Lester, who walked a career-high seven batters.

Yankee-killer Pedro Ciriaco led the third with a double and scored on Jacoby Ellsbury's single to center. Ellsbury then stole second and scored the go-ahead run when Pedroia singled to right.

Starter Jon Lester started poorly, issuing two walks in the first inning and another two in the third. He was lifted with one out in the sixth inning, giving up three runs on five hits and seven walks with five strikeouts.

Jeter's leadoff walk, a double by Nick Swisher and a groundout by Robinson Cano gave the Yankees a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
