BOSTON - It should be Stephen Drew at shortstop on Sunday for the Red Sox.
Drew, who is dealing with a right oblique strain, took part in a "ramped up" batting practice on Saturday with the idea that the team would have a clear picture on his status after it was through.
According to Farrell, everything went OK.
"Came through today fine," Farrell said. "The ramped up intensity to the batting practice. He'll be available [Sunday]."
After batting practice prior to Saturday's game, Drew said he was trying to "work through it and see where we're at".
He is 1-for-14 so far this season for the Sox, all against right-handed pitchers, with one RBI.
Drew passed whatever remaining tests the Sox had for him on Saturday, but the biggest test of all will come at the plate on Sunday.
