FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Left fielder Carl Crawford is progressing from the sore left wrist that has kept him sidelined for the last week.

"Crawford will throw 90 feet with the trainer and ready to progress midweek with monitored swings," manager Bobby Valentine said Monday morning.

Crawford experienced soreness last week in the wrist on which he had arthroscopic surgery on Jan. 17.

Its getting better, Crawford said.

Crawford is able to take one-handed swings with a bat now. The next step would be swinging with two hands at a ball on a tee. But he has no timetable for that.
