There's more bad news - somehow - on the David Ortiz front. After almost eight months of an Achilles injury, the Red Sox are shutting Ortiz down for 5-7 days in hopes that inflammation in both of Ortiz's heels will go down.

Manager John Farrell stressed that it's "separate from any kind of previous issues that he dealt with", but even so, another foot injury for Ortiz is certainly not the news anybody wanted to hear.

Mike Felger sits down with Steve Buckley from the Boston Herald and Bob Ryan from the Boston Globe to talk about the latest on Ortiz, and Buckley isn't so high on the slugger right now.

"Be afraid, be very afraid, because the season opens in three weeks and he hasn't even had an at-bat in a spring training game yet," Buckley said. "If you look at the record, he's a slow starter to begin with - we've seen those slow starts in recent years - and he needs to get some at-bats before he has those struggling at-bats in regular season games, so this is a huge concern."
