After spending some time in Triple-A Pawtucket, right-handed pitcher Alfredo Aceves was called back up to the Red Sox on Friday to help aid a depleted Boston bullpen.
With Aceves' last two season being filled with poor pitching performances, criticizing his teammates and other incidents, including a brawl at the World Baseball Classic in March, this could be Aceves' last opportunity to make an impression in the Sox clubhouse.
Although the move doesn't seem permanent, Steve Buckley said on The Baseball Show Saturday morning that he believes calling up Aceves was a bad decision for the Red Sox, and that nothing good can come out of it given his recent history.
"I just think he's trouble waiting to happen," Buckley said.
