NEW YORK -- Pitchers Craig Breslow (shoulder) and Franklin Morales (back) both threw Wednesday in Fort Myers.

Morales threw live batting practice after a 25-pitch bullpen session and "came out of it fine,'' according to Farrell.

Breslow threw a bullpen Wednesday.

"They're on their progression to continue to advance while in extended (spring training)," John Farrell said. "There's no time frame yet on when they might go out and make their first rehab assignment or appearance.

"We will take the approach of stretching Franklin out as a starter."

Each will get an appearance in an extended spring training game before they head out on a rehab assignment for a maximum of 30 days -- the standard limit for pitchers.
