Josh Beckett turned in a poor performance Wednesday afternoon, giving up eight runs on eight hits and two walks over five innings. His ERA rose to 4.97; the Red Sox are now 7-12 in his starts.
Beckett told the media following the loss that he failed to make in-game adjustments. He didn't get his fingers on top of the ball, allowing it to be up in the zone.
