It’s no secret that Bill Belichick and Wes Welker are not on the best of terms since Welker left the Patriots for the Denver Broncos this past offseason.

Gary Tanguay, Mike Felger, Chris Gasper, and Greg Bedard talked on Sports Tonight why there is animosity between Belichick and Welker.

“The short answer is because Wes didn’t do what Bill wanted to do as far as the contract,” Bedard said.

According to Gasper, the Patriots let a number one receiver just walk away.

“The bottom line is they didn’t value him the way you should value a guy who was a number one receiver in your offense,” Gasper said. “I don’t care what he is in somebody else’s offense. I don’t care that he is not Calvin Johnson or A.J. Green. In your offense, he was a number one receiver and now you don’t have one.”
