Who takes the rap for the Patriots 24-23 loss to the Seahawks in Seattle. CSNNE.com Patriots insider Tom E Curran is pointing at the offense.
"I'll take the offense to blame," said Curran. "It started right before halftime with mismanagment by Tom Brady on the intentional grounding throw that cost the opportunity for a field goal."
Twice in the fourth quarter, the Pats had the ball and the lead with a chance to close out the game and just couldn't generate anything, Curran said.
"It's kind of been an on-going situation," Curran said. "It happened in Baltimore. It happened in the Super Bowl."
Meanwhile, SportNet Central's Mike Giardi says the defense should share some of the blame.
"It's Russell Wilson," Girardi said, referring to the Seahawks rookie QB who burned the Pats with big plays.
"Letting him make big plays in those situations?" Girardi asked, pointing in particular to rookie safety Tavon Wilson who was burned for the winning score, a 46-yard hookup from Wilson to Sidney Rice with 1:18 left.
