Which position to address in 1st round of NFL Draft?

The NFL Draft is right around the corner, and now that most of the top free agents have signed on with teams, the focus goes back to filling more long-term needs.

So, what does that mean for the Patriots? What position needs to be filled the greatest? That's where our Patriots Talk crew comes in.

Tom E. Curran, Mike Giardi, and Phil Perry give their takes on which direction the Pats may go in to fill a void in the first round.

"I think defensive line is deep enough that if they like a guy or if they like multiple guys, they'll be able to get one in the second or third round," Perry said. "Safety I actually really like Duron Harmon, I think he's going to contribute a lot next year. I think they need another tight end. Right now, who do you have? You have Gronk [Rob Gronkowski] coming off on an injury, you have Hooman [Michael Hoomanawanui]."

Giardi is looking on offense too - but not a skill player.

"I like going offensive line here," Giardi said. "I think they had some issues at center and guard, right guard in particular. I'm still waiting for that Dan Connolly shoe to drop (restructure/release). Draft fat guys. Whether it's defensive line or offensive line, I think that's how primarily they built their championships in 2001, 2003 and 2004. They were sound up front. I just think they need an upgrade in talent there."

Curran weasels out on the question, saying that he'd take the best player available . . . but after being criticized by the guys, he goes with an interior offensive lineman, specifically Xavier Su'a-Filo from UCLA.

What do you think the Patriots should address in the first round?
