Welker goes long, gets hair transplant

Wes Welker didn't get the extension from the Patriots he was hoping for, but he will be going long elsewhere.

He got a hair transplant. In early July, Welker -- who's gone a little shy up top and in the power alleys at the age of 31 -- had a procedure performed by Dr. Robert Leonard of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates.
The procedure, according to a release announcing the news, "involved transplanting follicles to an area of Welker's scalp where his hair had started to thin . . . Welker was immediately able to resume his regular activities, including training for the football season and even wearing a helmet."Welker's transplanted follicles will be showing strong within four months. He'll also be a spokesman for Dr. Leonard.
You know, this doesn't sound like a bad idea.
