The New England Patriots have received quite a bit of backlash since Aaron Hernandez was charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd, and the rest of the league is taking notice.
During the Hernandez investigation, authorities and media learned that his tattoos may have hinted at gang activity. Given that, NFL teams are going to be using police experts to check out prospects' tattoos, according to Bruce Feldman of CBS.
Certain tattoos can indicate gang-related activity as well as other behavior that could get an NFL player in trouble. With the amount of time and money teams invest in players, NFL executives are going to be even more careful about doing their due diligence moving forward.
