FOXBORO -- Sebastian Vollmer was missing from the start of Patriots practice once again Wednesday, which could be of some concern to the team. He was not spotted during the media-access portion of Tuesday's session, and he missed Monday's workout entirely.

It is unclear what has been keeping the right tackle out of action. In Vollmer's place on Monday, Marcus Cannon got a majority of the reps at right tackle.

Defensive tackles Sealver Siliga and Chris Jones, tight end DJ Williams, linebacker Cameron Gordon, running back Tyler Gaffney and offensive lineman Chris Martin were also missing from the beginning of the practice.

Tight end Michael Hoomanawanui was with the team through the warmup and stretching periods but then moved down onto the lower practice field at Gillette Stadium to go through what appeared to be some rehab work.
