Another game, and another subpar performance for the New England Patriots offense.
With just 252 yards of total offense against the Miami Dolphins last week, the Patriots are still trying to find solutions to their offensive woes.
Andy Hart and Paul Perillo gave their opinions on how to fix the offense on Patriots Football Weekly.
“Run the ball, why is it so hard?” Hart said. “This offense has nobody, literally nobody, who is playing consistently well right now other than Stevan Ridley. You have a 1,200-yard back who is itching to do his job and carry the load. Give him that chance. The passing game has had a half of season to come together, it’s not working.”
On the other hand, Perillo believes the Patriots have run the ball enough in their games and need to stick to their passing attack.
“I just don’t want to run the ball any more often than they already are,” Perillo said. “I think it is hard to win in the NFL with a ground-orientated attack. I think the points by nature are going to be down and it’s going to be a lot of slugfests. I think it’s a hard way to try to win long-term.”
