Fox Sports columnist Ken Rosenthal wrote today that the Red Sox should seriously consider swallowing their pride and re-hiring Terry Francona as manager of the team.

Yup, you read that right. Francona? Back with the Sox? CSNNE's Gary Tanguay has reason to agree with Rosenthal, but he and Boston Herald's Dan Shaughnessy know that it's pretty unlikely to happen.

That said, how much longer will Bobby Valentine last here? It seems as if he's almost trying to get fired these days, but if so, it's unclear who next season's manager will be.
