The last time we saw Aqib Talib in Denver, he was on the sidelines, injured, watching his Patriots teammates drop the AFC Championship game to the Broncos.

On Wednesday, he was introduced as one of Denver's newest free-agent acquisitions, and he was all smiles at the podium for his first press conference as a Bronco.

The first question posed to him: Had he spoken to Wes Welker lately?

The question drew a few laughs from the room as it was Welker who collided with Talib early in the second quarter of the AFC title game, forcing Talib to miss the remainder of the game.

"Not yet, not yet, not yet," Talib said with a smile. "I'm sure I will. Wes is a good friend of mine. I've watched the play 1,000 times, and I can promise you he didn't do it on purpose."

Talib went on to explain that the injury he suffered that day was a deep bone bruise that is "perfectly fine" now.
