FOXBORO -- Aqib Talib will be inactive against the Steelers Sunday evening.
Talib practiced this week, but on a limited basis because of a hip injury. This marks the third-consecutive game he has missed. The Patriots have started both Logan Ryan and Kyle Arrington at left cornerback in Talib's absence.
Rookie receiver Kenbrell Thompkins will sit for the first time this season. He started the first seven of New England's eight contests, catching 23 passes for 334 yards and four touchdowns. Thompkins has not appeared on the injury report and so is a healthy scratch. The move is not entirely surprising, however, as he's been slowly sliding down the depth chart in recent weeks.
Veteran defensive lineman Isaac Sopoaga, acquired at Tuesday's trade deadline, will make his Patriots debut.
