Spikes' knee scope went just fine

A procedure on Brandon Spikes' right knee performed on Tuesday went well, CSNNE has learned. The Patriots inside linebacker - who tweeted he was going under the knife earlier in the day - had arthroscopic surgery on the knee. Spikes suffered an MCL injury during the season but returned to play well down the stretch and into the playoffs. The emergence of Spikes late in the year changed the tenor of an otherwise enigmatic season. By the Super Bowl, he was the Patriots' most explosive and intuitive linebacker and an excellent complement to the more steady and fundamentally solid leader of the linebacker corps, Jerod Mayo.
