Nate Solder was missing from the start of Patriots practice on Wednesday. The left tackle had been limited in practice last week because of a concussion and was knocked out of Sunday's loss to the Dolphins in the fourth quarter with what was announced as a head injury.
Early in the fourth quarter, on a Tom Brady pass attempt, Solder was kneed in the head by Miami defensive end Cameron Wake and did not return.
Patriots rookie receivers Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) and Aaron Dobson (foot) were back on the practice field for the sweats-and-shells session. Both players were inactive for the Dolphins game.
New England's other rookie wideout Josh Boyce was missing from the start of practice. He was seen limping out of the Patriots locker room after the game on Sunday.
