Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton seems to be adding a little drama prior to the Colts Saturday night matchup in the Division Round of the playoffs against the Patriots.
On Thursday, Pep Hamilton seemed to reference to Spygate during his press conference, which could give the Patriots the bulletin board material they were looking for.
As for fans, they sent in Instagram videos to Tom E. Curran and Mary Paoletti on Quick Slants to discuss why spy gate should be left in the past.
"All teams try to get signals that’s why coaches, offensive coordinators, and play-callers call all their plays like this, behind a thingy,” Curran said. “They’ve been doing it since Jim Thorpe was a boy. So, if the Patriots cut some signals off of you with the Jets – maybe they did it by reading them, maybe they did it by taping them – but you’re still doing this.”
Another viewer wondered if this was the week when Danny Amendola becomes more involved in the offense.
“I don’t think they’ve been holding out,” Paoletti said. “I don’t think there is an issue of trust or anything like that. I think the Patriots like their matchups and if it’s favorable they’ll go to him, if not, they don’t. They’ve also had good contributions from the run game too.”
