If there's been one glaring weakness with the Patriots in recent years, it's been their pass defense. There's a chance someone like Harrison Smith could help change that.
A safety out of Notre Dame, who was recruited to the school by former Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, Smith is an intelligent safety who doesn't give up big plays.
"The Patriots are a team that I've always watched," Smith told Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran on the Quick Slants Draft Special. "They've been so dominant in the recent past. I love the style of game that they play. I played for Charlie Weis at Notre Dame and he came from the Patriots. I think i got a slight taste of what it'll be like to play there."
