FOXBORO -- For the second consecutive day, the Patriots were missing one third of their three-headed rushing attack at practice.
Stevan Ridley, who did not participate in Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury, was missing from the media-availability portion of Thursday's workout. Special teamer Matthew Slater (wrist) and Vince Wilfork (Achilles) were also missing from the session, as expected.
The Patriots had a new face working out with the receivers on Thursday. As reported by ESPN Boston's Field Yates, the Patriots have signed veteran free-agent wideout Austin Collie. Patriots fans will remember Collie from his days with the Indianapolis Colts between 2009 and 2012. Collie spent training camp with the San Francisco 49ers and was released at the end of August during final roster cuts.
