Visanthe Shiancoe's next team will be either the Eagles or Patriots, reports NFL.com's Steve Wyche. The tight end visited New England last Thursday.
A deal is expected to be reached Tuesday night.
Shiancoe, 32, spent five of his last nine career seasons in Minnesota. In 2011 he started 14 of 16 games played, finishing with 36 catches for 409 yards and three touchdowns.
Seattle was the last team to offer its hand -- a one-year, 1.2 million bid placed in March -- but Shiancoe, obviously, deferred.
