According to multiple reports, the Patriots have signed former Cincinnati defensive end Jonathan Fanene to a three-year deal.
NFL.com's Michael Lombardi shared his opinion of Fanene with CSNNE.com on Wednesday.
"He is a really good player," Lombardi said. "A nickel rusher that can pressure from the inside. He fits the Pats."
Fanene, 29, is a seven-year veteran and a former seventh round pick out of the University of Utah. The 6-foot-4, 285 pounder from American Samoa had 22 tackles and 6.5 sacks in 12 games last season.
