Leon Washington, one of the most dynamic return men in the National Football League during his seven-year career, is in Foxboro today to visit the Patriots, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Washington, 30, played for the Jets from 2006-09 and the Seahawks from 2010-12. He's tied the NFL record for most kick returns for a touchdowns in a career, with eight, and last year averaged 29 yards per kick return and 8.7 yards per return. He was the NFC's returner in the Pro Bowl last season.

Washington was released when the Seahawks traded for Percy Harvin. The Patriots are in the market for returners, especially punt returners now that Wes Welker has signed with Denver.
