The Patriots shocked some people by cutting Brian Hoyer on Friday.

The Eagles also surprised a few people by releasing quarterback Mike Kafka.

According to a report by Tim McManus of PhillyMag.com, the Patriots are one of four teams interested in the former Eagle.

Kafka has 107 career yards and 2 interceptions in 4 career games in the NFL. He is now a free agent after passing through waivers.

The Packers, Browns and Chiefs have also shown interest in the third-year quarterback.
