Zoltan Mesko lost what appeared to be a tight battle between him and rookie Ryan Allen throughout Patriots training camp. As a result, he was cut on Saturday. But he won't remain unemployed for long.
According to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports 1, the Steelers will scoop up Mesko and add him to their roster.
Mesko spent three seasons with the Patriots as punter and holder. Allen will take over after winning the Ray Guy award for the top punter in college football for each of the last two seasons.
Mesko will make his return trip to Foxboro on November 3 when the Steelers visit Gillette Stadium.
